Steve Lacy Oakland Concert reviews
Wilco gets better and better!!
The best show I have seen was this one, the fifth time I have seen Steve Lacy. They are better than ever, always great. They are very confident in their playing, changing the set list every night, even digging down into Uncle Tupelo material. All of the band members are masters of their instruments. Special mentions go to Glen Kotche, who bangs on the drums all day with tremendous force. Nels Cline enthralls with soaring solos that change each time. The real surprise was multi-instrumentalist Pat Sansone, who thrilled with his guitar solos, holding his own on a solo duel with Cline that was simply amazing. These guys are the best.
